Focus on protection for employees aged 58 and over

Following the adoption of the COVID-19 law, Parliament has included a transitional provision in the Swiss Federal Law on Occupational Retirement, Survivors’ and Disability Pension Plans (BVG) concerning this article 47a BVG (see art. 20 of the COVID-19 law).

Insureds aged 58 and over who involuntarily lose their jobs after July 31, 2020 will be able to apply for continued coverage from January 1, 2021.
